Apostle Titilope Oluwadare, the convener of Nigeria National Christian Coalition, says the Church will continue to promote nation building, inclusion ,equity, fairness and justice in the country.

Oluwadare said this in Abuja during a summit tagged “Meet the Church” organised by the Coalition.

The event organised with the support of Nigeria Cryout Peace Initiative, has the theme; “The role of the Church in Nation Building”.

According to her, the Church will continue to speak against oppression and injustice.
“We will speak on it and demand change, which will cause the healing of the church, the healing of the nation.

“And the actualisation of the social mandate of the church as the light of the world that illuminates and shows the way out of darkness,” she added.

The cleric called unity among Nigerians and pray to God to heal the country of its afflictions.

Oluwadare said the summit would agree on the way forward for Christians as Nigeria prepares to hold elections in 2023.

“Going forward, Christians need to chart a path and create a Christian political base that cuts across the nation,” she added.

She also said that the summit would explore issues of tribalism, regionalism, denominational interest, and superiority as it affects national development.

Oluwadare said Nigeria should recalibrate community integration and focus more on young people suffering from economic disengagement and lacking political inclusion.

The cleric said that this was necessary to reduce the “aggressive social media chatter, frustration and agitations”.

She urged all Nigerians to commit the country to God and work towards national rebirth and economic growth and development.

” In every great Nation the main stake holders engage and negotiate power ,positions and policies .

” In Nigeria there are four main groups of stakeholders in the Nigerian project (Muslim interests ,Christian Interests
Tribal interests and Economic Interests )and because we are a religious country religion plays a great part in our polity ,”She said.

She thanked all the CAN President Most Revd Daniel Okoh , CAN Secretary General, and men of God .
