Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim has urged Nigerians to strengthen their commitment to love, and sacrifice for each other and Nigeria.
He gave the admonition in his 2022 Easter message release by his Media office in Abuja.
The PDP presidential frontliner for 2023 reminded Nigerians that Easter marks the greatest sacrifice ever made for the betterment of mankind when Jesus Christ offered himself to be crucified for the redemption of world.
He enjoined Nigerians to emulate Jesus Christ by making sacrifices for the good of our country. He urged Nigerian citizens to continued to stand strong in faith and prayers, knowing that the love of God is boundless.
The PDP chieftain and former President of the Senate lamented the difficulties Nigerians are passing through as a result of bad economy and worsening insecurity in the country, but expressed the hope that will God hearken to the cries of Nigerians by giving them a new set of good leaders that will lead the country from 2023.
Said Anyim, “the message of love and sacrifice which Easter embodies must not be lost on Nigerians.
“I encourage all Nigerians to imbibe these virtues which Jesus Christ taught us, in our personal lives and in our service to our great country Nigeria, particularly as we participate in the transition activities that will lead to the election of new set of leaders for our nation in 2023. Let us remain strong in faith and fervent in prayers for the mercy and intervention of God in our lives and the affairs of our country.
“As Jesus Christ sacrificed his life for all sinners without exception, I urged our leaders at all levels to continue to make sacrifices and demonstrate empathy, love and fairness in their dealings with all Nigeria.
“It is my prayer that God will hear the cries of Nigerians over their economic misery and insecurity and provide the country with the right leadership in 2023 that will be capable of bringing these sufferings to an end,” the presidential hopeful stated.
Anyim wished all Nigerians a spirit filled and joyful 2022 Easter celebrations.
