Youth group tasks Nasarawa elites on mentorship

The Nasarawa Youths Initiative for Peace & Good Leadership (NYIPGL), has tasked elites from the state on the need to mentor youths who are the future leaders.

The group made the call while on a courtesy call on the Santalin Lafia/Sardaunan Adogi Alhaji Bala Adamu Zakari, Director of Finance & Account, Federal Ministry of Agriculture Abuja, on Thursday.

Led by its President/Chairman, Faruk Mohammed Ofoku, NYIPGL urged the elites to endeavour to give back to the state by ensuring they guide and train youths to follow in their steps.

While commending his efforts towards youth empowerment and the downtrodden members of the society, the group equally encouraged the Santalin Lafia to continue his humanitarian services which has direct impact and centers on youth empowerment, job creation opportunities for Nasarawa youth who have graduated but are not gainfully employed.

In his response Alhaji Zakari commended the effort of the group, calling on the youth to continue to maintain peace, aa well as desist from all forms of social menace that will perpetuate violence in the state.

The Santalin Lafia also assured the leadership of the NYIPL of his unflinching support , partnership and collaboration, towards bettering the lives of the Nasarawa youths.

Alhaji Zakari accepted the responsibility to serve among the patron of the group.

He also encouraged the youth to be selfless in service to humanity and that he will continue to serve as a mentor to the younger generation .
