The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), Kaduna Branch, has inaugurated 23 new executive members with a charge to uphold the society’s policy on health, education, livelihood and Da’wah.
The charge was given at the inauguration of the executive members led by Alhaji. AbdulGaniyu Ajao on Monday in Kaduna
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Zonal Vice Chairman of the group Alhaji Kazeem Adesanya performed the inauguration ceremony.
Ajao, who had served as the NASFAT vice branch chairman for two years, said they accomplished a lot in spite of all odds and challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, in compliance with the HELD agenda of NASFAT NEC.
He said that NASFAT’s assignment required some degree of sacrifice and a high level of concentration from all office holders in the society.
“It is in view of this that I want to especially call on every member of the society to support us in this task,” he said.
Ajao said he would be working with other partners focusing attention on programmes and interventions on HELD.
“With our focus, we will create a coalition of internal and external forces so we can combine resources to boldly address the issues of poverty, hunger and inequality while promoting righteousness and kindness among others,” he said.
In his remarks, Guest Lecturer, JNI Secretary General, Dr Abubakar Aliyu, said leadership is a trust that must not be betrayed.
He said that Allah would hold those in leadership position responsible for the decisions taken during their tenures.
Aliyu drummed support for the new executives from all members of the group, saying that Islam needed total participation and support from all believers.
He led a special prayer for the success of the executives and Allah’s mercy on the pandemic which he said prevented Muslims from performing Hajj for the past two years.
The outgoing two term NASFAT Kaduna Branch Chairman, Mr Muhyideen Yusuf, gave a run-down of his achievements which included the inauguration of a media center for easy dissemination of information.
He prayed and charged the new executives not to relent in their task of promoting the mission and vision of the society.
Yusuf thanked the outgoing exco members, the zonal executives and members of the society for their understanding and support through out his tenure.
The Zonal Chairman, Alhaji Kabir Bello, described leadership as a big responsibility, adding that leaders are responsible for inspiring other people to work hard to meet NASFAT goals.
