Labour draws battle line with CAC, vows to shutdown operation from Tuesday

Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees ( AUPCTRE) draws a battle line with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) management, set to shutdown operation of the organization from next Tuesday over issues of maladministration

As at noon of Sunday the union leadership has concluded mobilization plans from every branch of the Union in FCT to ensure total shutdown operation of CAC with effect from next Tuesday until the management deem fit to comply with the Union demands

AUPCTRE members in various branches of the Union were mobilized and have shown commitment, enthusiasm and vow to resist the maladministration in CAC by extending solidarity with their colleagues

They looks forward to picket the CAC headquarters on Tuesday as directed by the Union leadership

Comrade Sikiru Waheed Deputy General Secretary and head of industrial relations says that the oppressive tendencies of the ruling class is at it again in CAC

It is only our class that can repel and provide antidote to their continuous greed and oppression.
Therefore, we must rise and and converge at the gate of CAC on Tuesday 12th January, 2021 to picket the office for the following reasons:
Denial of promotion to workers,
setting promotion exams outside syllabus and those who manages to pass were denied promotion for lack of vacancy that was arbitrarily and unilaterally set by Register General, Setting up of vacancy for positions already occupied by the promotion of 2019 and 2020 against the existing organogram of CAC,
Denial of payment of promotion arrears against govt circular on notional promotion, damping dignity of labour by routinely shouting and harassing workers with ugly derogatory words as *stupid* , *nonsense* , *idiot* , *get* *out* , Stoppage of internal and external loans including staff cooperative societies,
forcing Drivers to take CBT promotion exams as against the usual interview and a ploy to make drivers fail, stopping customers from entering the premises of CAC in Abuja and Lagos.
The maladministration are uncountable therefore AUPCTRE must rise against this oppression and and self service management who has pocketed the governor board of CAC.
The union has followed every due process and informed all relevant govt agencies,
We have nothing to fear except our chain of unity which must be unbroken,Waheed concluded

Aluta News report that despite the 21 days notice issued to CAC the management remains adamant and failed to invite the Union for dialogue which is the norms in addressing industrial crisis !!
