Cleric wants FG intensify efforts to end kidnappings on Kaduna-Abuja road

An Abuja Based Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Yahya Al-Yolawi has called the Federal Government to intensify efforts towards curtailing the incessant kidnappings, robbery and killings on Kaduna-Abuja road.

Al-Yolawi made the call in an interview with newsmen, while reacting to the recent kidnappings on travels on Kaduna-Abuja road, on Thursday in Abuja.

The cleric also emphasised the need for the security agencies to be more proactive in tackling banditry in Zamfara Katsina, Sokoto and Kebbi states.

” I want to seize this opportunity to appeal to the Federal Government through our security agencies to intensify and put more efforts in tackling the issues of robbery, killings and kidnapping in our societies.

” Most especially the affected areas states like Zamfara, Katsina, and Kaduna- Abuja road that is almost be coming daily affairs,” he said.

Al-Yolawi also advised government at all levels to ensure the provision of basic amenities and employment opportunities to the teeming youths to prevent youths restiveness.

The cleric admonished parents and guardiance to ensure good parental upbringing of their children and discourage them from interacting with bad friends and peer groups.

He cautioned adherent of the Islamic religion to shun all forms of corruption and stealing of individual or public properties.

” Muslims are forbidden to transgress other mulsmi’s right or property.

” The messenger of Allah says do not envy each other, do not outbid each other, do not hate each other, do not turn away from each other, and do not outsell each other.

” Rather, be servants of Allah as brothers. The Muslim is the brother of another Muslim. He does not wrong him or humiliate him or look down upon him.

” It is sufficient evil for a person to look down upon his brother Muslim. All of the Muslim is sacred to another Muslim,” Al-Yolawi said.
