#EndSARS: ‘I did not protest,’ Davido tells Police
Pop artiste, David Adeleke, popularly known Davido on Monday denied being part of the #EndSARS protest that took place in Abuja on Sunday.
“I didn’t protest, I was there to calm them down,” the father of three told Force spokesman Frank Mba in a meeting.
In a live Instagram video, Davido said he did not want a closed-door meeting but Mr Mba asked that the video coverage be stopped.
In a video from the meeting which has gone viral, the 27-year-old is also seen setting agenda for the police on the demands of protesters.
Davido was accompanied to the meeting by his lawyer, manager and business partners.
The ‘Fem’ singer returned from Ghana to join the protest that was held in Abuja on Sunday.
