Hon. Prof. Julius Ihonvbere organise Essay Competition’s
The Honorable Member representing Owan Federal Constituency of Edo State, and Chairman, Committee on Basic Education and Services National Assembly Abuja, Hon.(Prof.) Julius Ihonvbere, OON has announced the official opening of the registration portal for the 2020 Essay Competition among Secondary School Students in his Constituency.
In a Press Statement signed by the Chairman, Essay Writing Committee, Prof. Famous Izedonmi for Prof. Julius Ihonvbere OON, said this year’s topic is: ‘To Move a nation forward, where should the emphasis be: Politics or Economics?’
He said the Essay is open to secondary school students in SS1-3 in his constituency only.
Noting that the prizes to be won are; 1st prize HP Laptop and a cash sum of N50,000, 2ND prize Android Phone and a cash sum of N30,000 and 3rd prize Phone, Books and a cash sum of N20,000. He added that there will be other consolation prizes for participants.
The statement reads that the Essay Competition will be held at the Tayo Akpata University of Education (Michael Imoudu College of Physical Education) Afuze, Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State.
The statement also reads that; all interested applicants should send the following details; Full names, Name of school, Town, Village, and Local Government Area of origin, Current Class of study, Phone Number as well as Email address to owanfederalconstituency@gmail.com or submit their applications to the constituency offices at Owan East office No. 1 Izobo Street, opposite IPE, Afuze Emai and Owan West office at No. 64 Obe Street, Adebo House, Sabongida-Ora.
It further reads that the deadline for application to participate in the Essay Competition is 25th July, 2020 and the Essay has been slated to take place on the 1st of August, 2020 at 10:00pm prompt, it further reads that applicants must come with their Passport Photograph, School Identification Card and any means of Identification to the venue of the Competition. Applicants should not come with any electronic device as any form of malpractice will be out rightly disqualified and shortlisted applicants will be communicated via Email and text messages.
