The Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, Dr Labaran Magaji, has charged youth groups to focus their campaign on the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led government in the State, saying that Sen. Ahmed Wadada is a product of Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s good governance.
Magaji gave this charge while receiving a youth group under the auspices of Sen. Wadada Youth Ambassadors in his Office in Lafia, ahead of the North Central maga rally for President Bola Tinubu.
Magaji, who is the Nasarawa State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, described Wadada as a product and byproduct of Gov. Abdullahi Sule, noting that Sule’s administration has laid the foundation APC supporters would use for the campaign.
He highlighted some of the achievements of Governor Sule, including the state-of-the-art State Secretariat Complex, construction of urban roads, Lafia underpass and flyover, the Akwanga underpass, Keffi and Karu- Maraba flyovers, youth and women empowerment.
“These are some of the achievements that should be the focus of the campaign. With all these, do you need to quarrel with anybody? Discuss issues, not personalities,” he emphasised.
He urged the youth not to retaliate with insults, saying insults were an indication that they were ahead of their opponents.
Magaji reiterated the State Government’s determination to sustain youth and women empowerment to enhance their socio-economic status.
Earlier, Chairman of the group, Zaidu Aliyu Tanko, said the group was formed to appreciate Governor Sule for youth employment, noting that about 50 per cent of their members have secured appointments under Gov. Sule’s administration.
He said the group had begun grassroots mobilisation for the victory of Sen. Ahmed Wadada, President Bola Tinubu and all other APC candidates in the state.
Coordinator General, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Abdullahi, assured that coordinators across the 13 LGAs were ready to deliver Wadada as the next governor and all APC candidates.
