Lagos, Aug. 27, 2026 (NAN) The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has constituted a seven-member interim executive committee to reposition its Lilypond Chapter.
The committee is expected to restore vibrancy and unity within the chapter during its initial six-month tenure.
The National President of the association, Mr Emenike Nwokeoji, made this known in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.
Nwokeoji said the appointment, approved by the National President, was communicated by the National Secretariat, Elder Olumide Fakanlu, and took immediate effect.
He said Prince Ademola Adefioye would serve as Chairman, while Musa Ogiagah would serve as Vice Chairman of the interim executive committee.
He said other members were Mr Olatubosun Awonuga, Secretary; Mr Lanre Adisa, Financial Secretary; Mr Soa Ajayi, Treasurer; and Mr Olushola Joseph, Public Relations Officer.
Nwokeoji said Mr Emeka Nwawulezie was also appointed Assistant Secretary, adding that the team comprised experienced members to promote unity and operational efficiency.
He said the decision followed the need to strengthen ANLCA’s activities at Lilypond and restore the chapter to a united and effective footing.
Nwokeoji said the committee had a broad mandate to implement measures aimed at rebuilding the chapter and improving members’ experience during its tenure.
“A major focus is rebuilding and expanding the membership base. The executives will reconnect with existing members and attract new ones to boost participation,” he said.
He said the committee would also restore ANLCA’s presence at Lilypond through programmes designed to deliver tangible benefits to members.
The National Secretariat, Fakanlu, tasked the executives with promoting unity, discipline and cooperation among members.
He also urged the committee to encourage active participation in chapter affairs and decision-making processes.
Fakanlu directed the committee to build cordial and professional relationships with government agencies and other stakeholders operating within the Lilypond command area.
He said the team would pursue constructive engagement with authorities while protecting the legitimate interests of licensed customs agents.
Fakanlu said the committee would also work toward improving the business environment and members’ welfare and professional standing.
He urged the executives to develop initiatives that would create a more conducive working environment for members.
“To ensure accountability, the committee will submit periodic reports to the National Secretariat on progress, challenges and achievements during the revamp programme,” he said.
Fakanlu urged the appointees to discharge their duties with integrity and fairness.
He expressed confidence that the committee would restore a strong and vibrant Lilypond Chapter. (NAN)
