The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil, on behalf of the Governing Board and Management of the Commission, extends warm felicitations to former Head of State, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, GCFR, on his 85th birthday.
Dr. Tsenyil describes General Babangida as an elder statesman and distinguished national leader whose contributions to Nigeria’s development, unity and progress remain significant.
He celebrates the former Head of State for his commitment to national development and for providing leadership anchored on the ideals of national unity, peace, development and inclusion.
The NCDC Chief Executive is particularly proud that General Babangida is a distinguished son of the North Central region whose years of service and leadership have contributed to shaping the nation’s political and socio-economic development.
Dr. Tsenyil expresses the Commission’s deep appreciation to General Babangida for opening his arms to the NCDC and demonstrating his commitment to supporting the Commission as it works to fulfil its mandate of driving sustainable development across the North Central region.
He notes that the willingness of the former Head of State to offer valuable counsel, wisdom and support is a great encouragement to the Commission, particularly as it continues to establish strong foundations for effective regional development.
According to him, the experience and statesmanship of General Babangida remain invaluable to the North Central region and Nigeria at large, adding that the NCDC looks forward to benefiting from his wise counsel and continued support in its efforts to transform the region and contribute to national development.
Dr. Tsenyil prays Almighty God to continue to grant General Ibrahim Babangida good health, wisdom and strength, and bless him with many more years of peace, fulfilment and service to the nation.
