NIOB Bauchi elects new executive, Mubarak Abdullahi Koli emerges chairman

The Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB), Bauchi State Chapter, has elected a new Executive Committee to steer the affairs of the Chapter following the successful conclusion of its Congress Meeting held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Chapter Secretariat, Federal Secretariat, Bauchi.

The election followed the resolution reached at the previous Congress Meeting held on July 24, 2026, to reconvene after one week to conclude deliberations on matters relating to the leadership of the Chapter.

At the meeting, members unanimously approved the dissolution of the outgoing Executive Committee before proceeding with the nomination and confirmation of new officers in accordance with the Constitution of the Nigerian Institute of Building.

The election was supervised by the National Representative, Bldr. Kandi Chingle, FNIOB, Treasurer of the Nigerian Institute of Building, who ensured that the exercise was transparent, credible, and conducted in strict compliance with the Institute’s constitutional provisions.

Following the administration of the Oath of Office, the newly elected Chairman, Bldr. Mubarak Abdullahi Koli, MNIOB, expressed appreciation to members for the confidence reposed in the new leadership. He pledged to provide purposeful, inclusive, and visionary leadership while working collaboratively with members to advance the growth and development of the Bauchi State Chapter.

In his farewell remarks, the outgoing Chairman, Bldr. Yusuf Zailani, expressed sincere appreciation to members for the opportunity to serve the Chapter. He urged members to extend the same, or even greater, support and cooperation to the newly elected Executive Committee to enable it to effectively discharge its responsibilities and take the Chapter to greater heights.

The newly elected Executive Committee comprises Bldr. Mubarak Abdullahi Koli, MNIOB as Chairman; Bldr. Saifuddeen Sani Wunti, MNIOB as Vice Chairman; Bldr. Nura Ahmad Tijjani, MNIOB as Secretary General; Bldr. Tasi’u Alhaji Ibrahim, MNIOB as Financial Secretary; Bldr. Shafi’u Yarima, MNIOB as Treasurer; Bldr. Yakubu Elijah Angyati as Public Relations Officer; and Bldr. Basiru Ibrahim, MNIOB as Assistant Secretary General.

Members of the Congress congratulated the newly inaugurated Executive Committee and expressed confidence in its ability to provide effective, transparent, and progressive leadership for the Chapter. They also prayed for Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant the new leadership wisdom, strength, integrity, and courage to justify the confidence reposed in them and to lead the Nigerian Institute of Building, Bauchi State Chapter, to greater achievements.
