Multi-party democracy gives Nigerians the sovereign right to choose their party and direction. In 2023, the people of Kebbi State made that choice decisively by electing Comrade Governor Nasir Idris under the All Progressives Congress(APC)
Governor Idris became the Governor with tested credentials in labour, trade unionism, and service to the people. That record, backed by the All Progressive Congress (APC) manifesto, delivered a landslide mandate and a clear directive on purposeful leadership.
After years of hijacking the state’s share of membership of federal boards and commissions,
President Tinubu has reversed the situation and authorised Comrade Nasir Idris to recommend credible, experienced, and selfless Kebbi indigenes for the appointment. Governor Idris also has the listening ears of President Tinubu on unjustified removals or denial of Kebbi indigenes’s desered positions in the federal service.
The federal government’s acknowledgement of Governor’s complementary support with the provision of logistics and financial support for the security agencies in combating banditry in the state is equally worthy of note.
The consistent additional federal government’s food and agricultural palliatives complementary support through the federal ministry of Agriculture and food security for Comrade Governor Nasir Idris’s policy of the much talked about annual distribution of free farming inputs to the people of the state must have equally contributed to the cordial relationship.
These gains have proved the fact that Kebbi benefits most when it stands firmly with the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the centre.
For this undisputable reason, Comrade Governor Nasir Idris has the moral and political duty to lead Kebbi in delivering massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The governor also affirms that every Nigerian retains the constitutional right to vote according to conscience and track record of the candidate of his or her choice.
Today, Comrade Idris’s choice is paying off, Unity across party lines. Development in every sector.
As we approach 2027, Governor Nasir Idris is calling on all APC members and lovers of progress in Kebbi to mobilize massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election.
The centre is listening to Kebbi, and we must keep that door open.
