The Council of Chiefs of Atai Obio Offot in Uyo recently paid a courtesy and appreciation visit to Bishop Ani Jacob at his White House Country Home.
During the visit, the chiefs expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Ani Jacob for his outstanding contributions to the development of the community, particularly for sponsoring the grading and rehabilitation of the community road, which had been in a deplorable condition for a long time. They noted that his intervention has greatly improved accessibility and eased transportation challenges within the area.
The chiefs also commended Bishop Jacob for his commitment to enhancing security within the community and offered prayers for God’s continued blessings, wisdom, strength, and prosperity upon his life and ministry.
In his response, Bishop Ani Jacob expressed deep appreciation for the visit and stated that he was honored by the chiefs’ gesture of goodwill. He reaffirmed his commitment to the progress and well-being of Atai Obio Offot, assuring the chiefs that whenever the community road deteriorates and requires attention, he will continue to support its grading and maintenance as much as possible. Bishop Jacob assured the royal fathers that the community road that is currently in a bad shape will be graded within one week to help the people of Attai Obio Offot from suffering which will also improve the economic wellbeing of the people.
Bishop Jacob further prayed for the traditional rulers and chiefs, asking God to grant them long life, good health, wisdom, peace, and continued success in their leadership of the community.
The visit concluded with mutual expressions of appreciation and a renewed commitment to the development, peace, and progress of Atai Obio Offot.
