Senator Lalong donates N10m to St. Joseph Parish Doemak roofing project

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District and former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Simon Bako Lalong, has donated the sum of N10 million towards the roofing project of St. Joseph Parish, Doemak, Qua’an Pan Local Government Area, under the Catholic Diocese of Shendam.

Senator Lalong announced the donation while serving as the Chief Launcher during a fundraising event organized by the parish to support the completion of the church building project.

Speaking at the occasion, Senator Lalong described the roofing project as a commendable effort aimed at providing a befitting place of worship for the Catholic faithful and the entire Doemak community.

He praised the Parish Priest, church leadership, and parishioners for their commitment, sacrifices, and determination in advancing the project despite prevailing economic challenges.

The former Governor noted that the progress already recorded on the church building demonstrates the unity, faith, and resilience of the people, urging them to sustain their support until the project is completed.

Lalong also commended the people of Doemak for their passion towards the work of God and their continued contributions to community development, stressing that such initiatives help strengthen social cohesion and promote moral values.

In his remarks, the Long Pan appreciated Senator Lalong for his consistent support to the people of Pan Chiefdom and beyond. He offered prayers for God’s guidance, protection, and continued success in his political career and public service.

The Parish Priest expressed gratitude to Senator Lalong for honouring the invitation to serve as Chief Launcher and for his generous donation towards the project. He also thanked him for extending the goodwill and support of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, to the parish and the people of Doemak.
