The Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, has called for continued national support and prayers for Nigerian troops fighting insecurity across the country.
The Minister made the call while receiving the General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, during a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
General Musa said moral support, prayers, and national unity remain important in boosting the morale of troops battling insurgency, banditry, terrorism, and other criminal activities in different parts of Nigeria.
According to him, the fight against insecurity requires the collective effort of all Nigerians, including religious organisations and community leaders.
The Defence Minister appreciated Pastor Muoka and members of the church for their continuous prayers and support for the Armed Forces and security institutions.
He assured Nigerians that the military remains committed to protecting the country’s territorial integrity as well as the lives and property of citizens.
General Musa also urged religious leaders across the country to continue promoting peace, patriotism, unity, and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
He noted that faith-based organisations have an important role to play in supporting national peace and security efforts.
Speaking during the visit, Pastor Muoka assured the Minister of the church’s continued support for the Armed Forces and the Federal Government.
The cleric offered prayers for Bola Tinubu, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength, and good health to lead the country toward peace, stability, and economic growth.
He also prayed for divine protection and victory for Nigerian troops in their operations against insecurity.
The visit featured an exchange of souvenirs and renewed commitment between the Ministry of Defence and the Christian community toward promoting peace, unity, and national security in Nigeria.
