The lawmaker representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency of Kaduna State in the House of Representatives, Daniel Amos, has promised to deliver more developmental projects across Southern Kaduna if re-elected in 2027, expressing confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains firmly positioned ahead of the next general elections.
Amos stated this during and after a stakeholders’ engagement and campaign tour across the 23 wards in Jema’a and Sanga Local Government Areas ahead of the APC primaries expected to begin next week.
Speaking in Kafanchan after the tour, the lawmaker said the large turnout witnessed during the engagements reflected growing public support for the APC administration at both the federal and state levels.
According to him, the response from constituents showed increasing confidence in the leadership of President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.
“We are doing the work you sent us to do. We are not done with the assignment you gave us.
“We are here to solicit your support for my re-election bid so that we can do more for our people,” Amos said.
The federal lawmaker said his representation had already attracted key developmental projects to the constituency, including the co-sponsorship of bills for the establishment of the Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan, and the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia.
He also disclosed that over N400 million had been facilitated for more than 3,000 constituents to support small businesses and start-ups, alongside the renovation and equipping of several primary healthcare centres within the constituency.
Amos maintained that the APC had continued to gain strength across Southern Kaduna due to what he described as visible achievements and inclusive governance.
He pointed to recent political developments in the region, including defections into the APC and the growing influence of the Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sunday Marshall Katung.
“The evidences are there, from the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, to the proposed Federal Medical Centre, and the appointments of Southern Kaduna sons and daughters into key positions in government,” he stated.
Speaking on preparations for the 2027 elections, Amos insisted that the opposition lacked the grassroots support needed to challenge the APC in Southern Kaduna.
“There is no opposition right now. You do not change a winning team,” he added.
The lawmaker thanked constituents for their continued support and assured them that another term in office would help consolidate on the achievements already recorded.
He also urged eligible residents to participate actively in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ahead of the elections.
Stakeholders of the APC who spoke during the tour commended Amos for what they described as impactful representation and expressed confidence in his ability to attract more development to the constituency.
Highlight of the tour was the withdrawal of a fellow aspirant, Benjamin Anthony, from the race, as he publicly declared support for Amos’ re-election bid.
