Inhabitants of Kebbi State have staged a massive mega rally in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi, to express support and solidarity to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris under the ruling APC.
Supporters of the party from all walks of life from the 21 local government areas of the state converged on the Haliru Abdu Stadium with the sole objective of unalloyed loyalty and sublimity to President Tinubu and Governor Idris to continue in office for second tenure.
Kebbi APC Chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru, made it clear that the massive gathering of people at the rally, portrays the sincere admiration by the people to the leadership qualities of President Tinubu and Governor Idris in the delivery of democratic dividends and good governance.
Also speaking, the APC National Organizing Secretary, former Kebbi deputy Governor, Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, said the magnitude of the gathering has gladden the hearts of all lovers of the APC, President Tinubu and Governor Idris.
“This unity rally is a blessing and indicates glad tidings for the victory ahead, the people have come out to express love, respect and solidarity with the President and the state Governor.The APC is a party of justice, we assure all aspirants to elective offices, of due fairness.The guiding principle of the APC remains intact; it has adopted consensus or primaries in choosing candidates, no preference”, he explained.
In his remarks, Governor Nasir Idris expressed profound appreciation to the people of the state for the overwhelming turnout at the Mega Unity Rally, describing the massive gathering as a clear demonstration of unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Governor Idris stated that the unprecedented crowd confirmed Kebbi State’s position as a stronghold of the APC and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to consolidating development strides across the state.
The State Chief Executive noted that the rally narked yet another historic milestone, emphasizing that the unity displayed by party faithful and the general public reflects confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu and the progress recorded so far. He assured that his administration would continue to implement people-oriented projects that positively impact all sectors.
He further highlighted that Kebbi State had greatly benefitted immensely from the leadership of President Tinubu, adding that the people of the state remain resolute in their support for the President’s second term bid in 2027, thereby urging party members and supporters to remain steadfast and continue to support the APC in order to sustain democratic gains.
