Nigeria officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the UAE Digital School @tdsforall, led by Dr. Waleed Al Ali, under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). The agreement, formalised in Dubai, aims to expand access to digital education and practical skill development for millions of young Nigerians, marking a major milestone in the country’s drive to prepare its youth for the global digital economy.
The partnership follows earlier engagements in July 2025 with key UAE government officials and development partners. Honourable Minister of Youth Development Ayodele Olawande described the agreement as “more than just an agreement; it is a promise to equip our youth with the skills, tools, and opportunities they need to thrive in a fast‑changing digital economy.”

Olawande expressed deep appreciation to the Government and people of the United Arab Emirates for their hospitality, leadership, and continued support for global development.
“What we celebrate today goes beyond Nigeria; it stands as a symbol of shared responsibility, shared progress, and shared hope for the youth of both nations.”
He also thanked technical partner Sapphital Limited @sapphital and his dedicated team at the Federal Ministry of Youth Development @fmyd_official for their unwavering commitment.
“I am confident that this partnership we have all worked hard to achieve will deliver real impact for our youth and for our nation,” Olawande added.
Aluta News reports that the initiative is expected to roll out online and offline training programs, certifications, and mentorship opportunities, positioning Nigerian youth to participate meaningfully in emerging tech sectors.
