
Security in Ebonyi, Anambra Gets a Boost as NSCDC Chief Visits

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, paid a morale-boosting visit to the Ebonyi State Command on Friday. The visit aimed to assess operational challenges, boost troop morale, and strengthen inter-agency cooperation in the state.
During the visit, Prof. Audi met with Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru at the Government House, Abakaliki, where he commended the state government’s commitment to security and rural development. He solicited the governor’s support for logistics and operational vehicles to enhance the Corps’ capacity to respond to security challenges.
Governor Nwifuru praised the NSCDC’s proactive contributions to peace and security in Ebonyi, describing the Corps as a dependable partner in maintaining law and order. He assured the NSCDC of continued support in providing logistics and operational resources.
In his remarks to NSCDC personnel, Prof. Audi charged them to remain disciplined, committed, and proactive in their duties, upholding the highest standards of professionalism. The visit underscores the NSCDC’s commitment to enhancing security and protecting lives and property in Ebonyi State.
The NSCDC chief was accompanied on the visit by the Ebonyi State Commandant, Commandant Francis Nnadi, and other senior officers.
Aluta News reports that Prof. Audi, had earlier paid a similar strategic operational tour to Anambra State, where he emphasized the importance of grassroots security and innovation. During his visit, Prof. Audi engaged with stakeholders to strengthen community policing and enhance security measures in the state.
Governor Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Soludo commended the NSCDC for its professionalism, discipline, and resilience, particularly in safeguarding critical national assets and public infrastructure. The NSCDC’s efforts in Anambra State and now Ebonyi State demonstrate its commitment to enhancing security and protecting lives and property across the country.
