NYCN Presidency: Babangida Unveils Campaign Team, Pledges to Empower Youths

Abuja, Nigeria – Comr. Isah Onimisi Babangida, aspirant for the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Presidency, has unveiled his national campaign team in Abuja. The ceremony marked a significant step in Babangida’s bid to lead the country’s apex youth organization.
In his remarks, Babangida commended Seyi Tinubu for his exemplary leadership and support for young people across the nation. He also praised the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, for his efforts in promoting youth development and Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State for his commitment to youth inclusivity in governance.
Babangida outlined his vision for the NYCN Presidency, which includes ensuring that government intervention programs focus on sustainable productivity and job creation for Nigerian youths. He also pledged to promote unity, faith, peace, and progress among youths, while discouraging ethnic hatred, religious division, and regional supremacy tussles.
Babangida promised to work closely with the federal government to implement policies that benefit Nigerian youths and create jobs.
He vowed to push for increased youth representation in government positions and ensure their voices are heard in national decision-making processes.
Babangida pledged to investigate and account for mismanagement of youth-focused funds, like the ₦75 billion Nigerian Youth Investment Fund.
He called on youths to channel their intellect, creativity, and energy towards promoting national growth and development.
“He unveiled a seven-man campaign team, carefully chosen to reflect our diversity, competence, and inclusiveness. The team includes seasoned professionals like Comr. Bamidele Osaade (Director General), Hon. Aisha Jafar (Deputy DG), and others who bring expertise in administration, publicity, programs, finance, and mobilization. This team is poised to drive a successful campaign, leveraging their unique skills and regional strengths.”
