In a shocking move, Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi Danji SS, former representative of Wukari and Ibbi Federal Constituency, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Shiddi cited a misalignment of ideologies and values with the party’s current direction at the state level as the reason for his resignation.

Shiddi, who described his political journey as a “movement of the people,” has hinted at a new political direction. He revealed that five political parties have approached him, but dismissed speculations of joining the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Shiddi promised to unveil a strategic action plan soon, urging his supporters to remain calm.

Shiddi launched a scathing attack on the Taraba state government, criticizing Governor Agbu Kefas for poor performance. He gave the governor a score of below three out of ten, except in the timely payment of civil servants’ salaries. Shiddi expressed deep concern over the collapse of the Nammai Bridge and rising insecurity in the state.

“The primary duty of every government is to secure lives and properties, but the government has failed in this area,” Shiddi stated, highlighting the government’s failure to deliver on its core responsibilities.

Aluta News reports that Shiddi’s resignation from APC and his criticism of the Taraba government have sparked speculation about his future plans. Will he join another party or forge a new path? Only time will tell. One thing is certain, however: Shiddi’s move has sent shockwaves through the state’s political landscape.
