The Etsu Nupe and the Chairman Niger State Council of Traditional Leaders, Alh Yahaya Abubakar has called on his subjects to give their utmost support and cooperation to the officials of the National Population Commission (NPC) when they embark on the proposed enumeration exercise.
The Royal Father made the call today in the ancient city of Bida, after observing the Eidl Fitr prayer at the Bida central Eid praying ground.
He said the people have a lot to gain as the government uses the data collated from the field to plan and bring development to their communities.
He further admonished the parents to see their wards as gifts and obligations from the Almighty that must be carried out diligently as the Royal Father sued for peace, asking for continued fervent prayers for the leaders.
Earlier, the Chief Imam of Bida, Alh. Adamu Yakatun admonished the Muslim faithful to remain steadfast and imbibe the lessons from the Ramadan .
