Bago Commiserates with Azza Banditry Attack Victims, Donates Foodstuff, Cash

The Niger State APC gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, has donated the sum of two million Naira and a Sharon bus to the vigilante group of the AZZA community of the Lapai local government area to combat banditry.

Bago made the donation when he paid a condolence visit to the people of Gulu and Vatsa in the Lapai Local Government Area of the State to commiserate with the people over the recent banditry attack on the community.

The APC flag bearer told the people of the community to pray for peace, good leaders and peaceful elections, as he also donated 200 bags of rice, 200 bags of maize, and cash donations of two million Naira to the victims of the attack.

Meanwhile, after appreciating the kind gesture from the donor, the people of the community who pledged to give him blocked vote, unanimously pleaded with him to rehabilitate and reconstruct at least the major roads and bridges to their communities and as well rehabilitate the schools when elected as the next governor of the state.

While, the Lapai Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Hamidu Jantabo revealed that the council had perfected plans to rehabilitate the Primary Health Center in Gulu to reduce the plight of the people going to the Lapai town, the headquarters of the Local Government for medical attentions.

He then disclosed that General Mamman Vatsa General Hospital, Gulu was shutdown as a result of Banditry attack on the hospital.
