End Tribal, Religious Bigotry, Build Peace in Nigeria” As PCN Marks 2022 UNIDP

The Peace Corps of Nigeria PCN , Team Ambassador Foundation (TAF), Rotary, other partners, organised a massive rally and candle light procession from old parade ground area 10 to peace garden in Abuja to mark the United Nations International Day of Peace (UNIDP) 2022
Addressing the gathering on Wednesday at the old parade ground, Professor Dickson Ako, National Commandant PCN has expressed deep appreciation to the participants especially for their massive response to the event
Ako explained that base on the peculiarity of Nigeria especially now that the 2023 general election is around the corner, the PCN has domesticated the theme for the 2022 UNIDP from “End Racism. Build Peace to “End Tribal and Religious Bigotry. Build Peace” locally
We need to do more in uniting Nigerian people in our corporate efforts toward ensuring a peaceful society regardless of tribal or religious affinity, Akoh Said
He further explained that peace cannot be attained in the midst of avoidable crisis especially the kind witnessed in Nigeria
The Peace Corp boss prayed for an expeditious end to the myriad of security challenges bedevilling Nigeria and commiserate with all the victims of violence across the country
