Jigawa: Gov. Badaru directs political appointees, civil servants with political ambition to resign before May 16

Gov. Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa has directed all political appointees and civil servants wishing to contest elective posts in the 2023 general elections to resign their appointments before May 16.

Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, the Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports and Culture, announced this in a statement signed by Mr Habibu Kila, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Public Relations in Dutse on Wednesday.

“Governor Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa State has directed all political appointees and civil servants who are interested in contesting elective position to resign their appointments between Wednesday 11th May and Monday, May 16.

“This is disclosed by the Commissioner of Information Youths, Sports and Culture, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim after the Executive Council meeting presided by Badaru on Wednesday.

“The governor wishes all those aspiring to elective positions best of luck,” Kila said.
