Germany’s former Tour de France champion Jan Ullrich has raised money for humanitarian aid in Ukraine by auctioning a special race bike from 1998.
The custom-made bike was sold via the United Charity auction portal and raised 40,100 euros (43,600 dollars).
“I wish from the heart that peace and happiness soon return to Ukraine again,” the 48-year-old Ullrich said in a video message.
