A brewing storm within Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has taken a dramatic turn as a high-profile aspirant, Ambassador Fubara Dagogo, accuses the party leadership of deliberately denying him a nomination form for the upcoming National Convention.
Dagogo, a prominent chieftain of the party and Director General of the APC States Assembly Forum (ASAF), claims he has fulfilled all requirements, including payment of the N5.1 million fee, but is being shut out of the contest for Zonal Vice Chairman (South-South).

“I paid N5.1 million as stipulated and was issued receipts accordingly. I followed due process, but I have not been given the form,” Dagogo said, alleging a “tactical approach” to exclude him .
The controversy has sparked concerns of internal democracy deficits and favoritism within the party, with Dagogo calling on President Bola Tinubu to intervene,
The APC National Convention is scheduled for March 27-28, amid growing tensions and allegations of exclusion.
