Breaking News: NLC and TUC Suspend Strike for One Week

In a significant development, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have suspended their industrial action for one week, effective immediately. This decision comes after a joint extraordinary national executive council meeting of the unions in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to TUC President Festus Osifo, the suspension is aimed at allowing for further negotiations on the new minimum wage and electricity tariff hike. The national grid was also shut down, leaving the nation in darkness.
The strike was prompted by the lack of consensus on a new minimum wage and the recent hike in electricity tariff.
