UAAP Hails Gov. Otti’s Superlative Performance in One Year, Praised
significant accomplishments in Security and Infrastructure

The United Abia Artistes and Patriots Forum (UAAP) has expressed its delight at Governor Alex Chioma Otti’s outstanding performance in his first year in office as Abia State’s chief executive. During a press briefing in Umuahia on May 30, 2024, the group stated that they were not surprised by the governor’s achievements, having been aware of his capabilities before supporting him in the last election.

UAAP President General, Amb. Dr. Osita Offor, aka “De Ultimate Commander,” praised Governor Otti’s giant strides in various areas, including security, infrastructure development, education, and healthcare. He encouraged Abians to prepare for even greater accomplishments from the governor, who is determined to transform Abia State.

UAAP’s endorsement of Governor Otti’s performance demonstrates the widespread recognition of his efforts to improve the lives of Abia State citizens.”

According to UAAP President General, Amb. Dr. Osita Offor, Governor Otti has successfully secured the state, particularly in areas like Umunneochi and Isuikwuato LGAs, which were previously considered no-go zones. While acknowledging that some minor issues still exist, UAAP expressed confidence in the governor’s ability to address them.

In terms of infrastructure, UAAP noted that Governor Otti has exceeded expectations, with notable projects like the ongoing Port Harcourt Road construction by Julius Berger and the completed 6-lane Ossah Road project, now renamed Aguiyi Ironsi Boulevard. The group also highlighted the Umuahia-Federal High Court road project and the Aba-Owerri road project as testaments to the governor’s commitment to transforming Abia State.
