Benue links to consider needs of people with disabilities in her operations

The Acting General Manager of Benue Links Nig. Ltd , Comrade Fanafa Alexander has assured People Living with Disabilities (PLWD) that the company under his Administration will always consider their special needs whenever they use the services of the transport company so as to enable them travel comfortably.

Benue Links said the Acting General Manager made this known in his office when he recieved the Chairman, Gwer West Chapter, Nigerian Association of the Blind, Comrade Anakula Thomas AKA The handsome Man of Mba – Buande on a courtesy visit.

He further stated that Benue Links values every customer irrespective of their status in the society hence the need to reopen operations from Makurdi to all the headquarters of the 23 Local Government Areas before the end of 2023 so that the safe, reliable, comfortable and affordable transport services offered by Benue Links will be accessed by all including those Living With Disabilities.

Earlier, The Chairman, Gwer West Chapter of the Nigerian Association of the Blind, Comrade Anakula Thomas AKA The Handsome Man of Mba – Buande said he came to pay a courtesy visit and also register his solidarity with the Acting General Manager on the tremoundous achievements he has made within the short period of his appointment.

He commended the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia for appointing Comrade Alexander Fanafa in Acting Capacity and pleaded that the appointment should be made permanent due to the fact that the Acting General Manager has proven his capability to turn Benue Links into a reputable transport company.

He condoled with the management of Benue Links on some mishaps witnessed by the company lately and prayed for good fortunes to befall the company under the Administration of the Acting General Manager.

The Finance Manager of Benue Links, Mr. David Yimam in his remarks also thanked the Chairman,Gwer West Chapter of the Nigerian Association of the Blind for coming to identify with the rebranding story of Benue Links.

He outlined the various achievements of the current management under the leadership of the Acting General Manager and also wished the Chairman, Gwer West Chapter of the Nigerian Association of the Blind a safe return to his base.

In a similar vain, The Acting General Manager also recieved Bar. Isaac Atama AKA Nobody to Somebody, a visually impaired Legal Practitioner who is also a presenter of the radio program, The Peoples Voice on Harvest FM Makurdi.

The visually impaired Legal Practitioner also came to identify with the Acting General Manager on the successes he has recorded so far and prayed that the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia should in no distant time confirm Comrade Alexander Fanafa as the substantive General Manager of the company.

Also Present at the visits were the Traffic Manager of Benue Links, Mr. Orkuma Jirgba, The Workshop Manager, Mr. Achov Philip , The Assistant Internal Auditor, Mr. Benjamin Yar,The Safety Officer, Mr. Charles Aganyi, The Purchasing/Insurance Officer, Mr. Abel Aondona and the Head of Bookings, Mr. Justin Agaaku.
