The Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has conferred the traditional tittle of ”Jakada Labari Nupe” (Information Ambassador of Nupe land), on Alhaji Mohammed Baba-Busu, Manager, Minna Zone of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Abubakar, who is the Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, conferred the honour on Baba-Busu on Saturday in Bida.
“We are here today to honour one of our own, Alhaji Mohammed Baba-Busu, who has distinguished himself in many ways.
”He has contributed immensely to the development of our community and beyond,” he said.
The traditional ruler prayed God to grant Baba-Busu the wisdom to discharge his responsibility as a title holder in the chiefdom and do more for the growth of the community.
Responding, Baba-Busu thanked the paramount ruler for the honour, adding that it would spur him to do more for the community.
The Zonal Manager promised to double his efforts toward youth empowerment, adding that he would use his new office to attract more development to the community.
”I have supported many youths in this community with funds to boost their businesses and others to start new ones.
”God willing, we will do more to improve the lots of our people. We shall also support our Etsu Nupe to succeed,” he said.
NAN reports that Baba-Busu hails from Busu, a community under Bida Emirate.
