APC Lamido Isa wins Sokoto East Senatorial seat

Founder of Lamido Isa foundation, a humanitarian group that has touched the lifes of many indigen of Sokoto State Alhaji Ibrahim Lamido Isa has been declared winner of the senatorial seat in Sokoto East Senatorial district.
Lamido Isa was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday morning.
The INEC returning officer Professor Mohammed Bayawa while anouncing the result said Alhaji Ibrahim Lamido Isa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) pooled a total of 112, 764 to defeat his closest rival Shu”aibu Ganda Gobir of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who pooled 107,834.
Recall that the election in Sokoto East Senatorial district and all other national assembly elections were declared inconclusive in the february 25 general election.
But in the April 15th Supplementary election Lamido Isa an ally of former governor of Sokoto State Magatakarda Wamakkowho who also came out victorious in his Sokoto South Senatorial district came out victorious at the end of the day.
When sworn in, Lamido Isa an alumni of the great Ahmadu Bello university Zaria will unarguably be one of the youngest Senators in the 10th assembly.
