Foundation holds annual convention

 Foremost Non-Political and Non-profit organization, Ior Gboko Foundation(IGF) a has held their Annual convention and AGM at their headquarters in Gboko, Benue state with the Theme:GIVING BACK TO SOCIETY.
The 3 day convention which was presided over by the IGF President, Mr Jimmy Ajim started with the Annual General Meeting where members passed a vote of confidence on the leadership.
Other activities held during the convention were the Commissioning of 2 nos 500KVA Transformers at GRA and Shaahu road Gboko facilitated by the foundation as well as a visit to the NKST Mkar Orphanage home where various food items were donated to the children.
Also, the foundation members visited the Ter Gboko, His Highness, Chief Gabriel Shosum and paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty, Prof James Ayaste CFR Tor Tiv the fifth who commended the foundation for its development strides and spirit of togetherness.
The IGF President, Mr Jimmy Ajim thanked the Royal Father for his soothing words of encouragement and pledged to do more for the benefit of the people.
He informed the paramount ruler that plans are underway  this year to resuscitate, equip and make functional the Skills Acquisition center yandev donated to the foundation by Senator George Akume.
This center will train women and youth in various skills like baking, computer repairs, carpentry, soap making etc.
A gala night at Jovina Hotel Gboko formally brought the convention to an end.
