The Ag. Head, Strategic Communication,Bureau of Public Service Reform(BPSR)  Mal.Aliyu Umar Aliyu has bagged an award as chief information officer of the year,by the Institute of information and Management Africa

The award was held in Abuja was organized by the IDMM- International Data Management and Media Award.

According to the organisers, Fellowship award and recognition was based on his high level of professionalism which he has brought to bear in the Bureau over the years, coupled with his distinguished service to humanity.

He is indeed a prolific writer and a seasoned professional to the core.

The Bureau Image Maker is also a Fellow of the Institute of Information Management

The Public Relations Officer of Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Mallam Umar Aliyu has bagged fellowship award of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR)

Aliyu holds a Bsc in Mass Communication and Masters Degree in Public Relations from Bayero University, Kano.

An Assistant Chief Information Officer at the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Mr. Aliyu was the immediate-past Vice-Chairperson of NIPR FCT Chapter

Aliyu, as he is fondly called has written several news items and Feature articles, also produced scripts for radio programmes for government agencies. He is the Editor Public Service Reformer Magazine.

Some his academic papers included: “Reporting of Electoral Reform: A Study of DailyTrust and Guardian newspapers”, “Public Relations as a Veritable Tool for Achieving Organizational Goals: A Case Study of FCT Scholarship Board” .
