We hope for more partnership,successful pilgrimage in 2023-NCPC Boss

Rev Yakubu Pam,the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) says the commission hopes to get more partnership for pilgrims exercise and to achieve more successful exercises in 2023.

The Executive Secretary gave the assurance during the commission’s 2022 Christmas Carol in Abuja.

According to him we pray for partnership with as many Christians (individual, organisations) who will like to embark on the holy pilgrimage to Israel ,Kingdom of Jordan,Rome and Greece.

“We are including Turkey by next year,we are having this high hopes that next year every believer will wish to visit the holy land,” Rev Pam said.

He further said that the commission hopes for more successful pilgrimages, as some batches just left and others been screen to leave soon.

“It is continuous and a process and as many more embarks on the exercise we pray to record more success.

The Executive Secretary enjoined Christians specifically during this Yuletide to be more prayerful.

Rev Pam also appealed to Nigerians and Christians to dedicate themselves to services of our father land.

” If the land is safe our churches are safe,if the land is safe we have freedom to pray and worship God,so we should be fervent in prayers,”he said.

For the forth coming elections, the NCPC Boss,advised Nigerians to shun rumours that will cause confusion.

He enjoined Christians to come out en mass to vote in the 2023 elections.

“Even the Bible enjoins us to respect authorities and all civic responsibilities be kept,”he said.

Rev Pam also urged Christians to see competence over ethnic or religion.

” Choose leaders who are God fearing, good and accountable to his people,” he said.

 

Earlier in an exhalation during the Carol Pam advised Christians not to give up during trying moments, but be steadfast and fervent in prayers.

“For every road that leads to success their is a wilderness.

” Prepare your minds for criticism, persecutions,adding that as Christians these were not strange to us,as the storm will pass and there will be dancing in the morning “,he said.

The event had the Director of Operations, Mr Chris Udegbunam, Director Finance and Accounts Mr Abu Okpanachi, Legal Adviser of the Commission, Mr Odey Obule.

Also Mr Celestine Toruka,Deputy Director and Head Media and Public Relation and Pst Raphael Oyinloye , DD/ Head Special Duties Dept, amongst other staff.
