2023 not for sale,APC governorship candidate tells Benue people

The 2023 Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in Benue State, Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia has cautioned Benue people against the antics of desperate power seekers including deceiving the masses into selling their Permanent Voter’s Card, PVC, saying 2023 is not for sale.

This is contained in a statement by Isaac Uzaan,Media Aide to Rev Fr Dr Hyacinth Alia.

Fr. Alia stated this Saturday November 26, 2022 while addressing large number of APC supporters at St. Mary’s Primary School, Otukpo, Benue State.

This was after he attended a Special Thanksgiving Mass organized by Benue South APC in his honour and all APC candidates in the zone at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church Otukpo where he also had interface with over fifty priests from the area.

Fr. Alia laid bare his honest intention to transform the deplorable political narratives in the state, expressing his priority in security of lives and property,roads construction, youth employment, women emancipation, and better commerce in addition to prompt payment of salaries and pensions.

He advised the people to keep faith with the APC and stay above any desire that will lure them in to selling their voting rights.

In their separate remarks, the Senatorial Candidate of APC for Benue South, Comrade Dan Onjeh and all House of Representatives Candidates in the zone, including Hon. Blessing Onuh for Otukpo/Ohimini, Hon. Samuel Godday for Apa/Agatu, Chief Philip Agbese for Ado, Okpokwu/Ogbadibo and Chief Peter Oboh Egbodo for Oju/Obi unfolded the beautiful plans they have for their respective constituents.

They promised their commitments to ensuring that victory is guaranteed for the party in the area.

During the Mass, the homilist, Rev Fr. John Okpotu advised Christians to be in the state of preparation at all times because no one knows the hour, emphasizing the need for humanity to imbibe the virtue of love and stop harbouring negative feelings for one another.

Others who spoke at the event include the State Chairman of APC, Comrade Austin Agada, the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Barr. Sam Ode, Hon. Chief Agbo Ogah, and Barr.Jane Otor amongst others.

Highlights of the event were: decamping of PDP members to APC, decoration of Rev Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia and other candidates in Idoma Traditional attires as well as singing and dancing.
