Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has awarded a contract for the upgrading of the hallowed chamber of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
This is to enable the chamber to meet up with the global best standard of legislative chamber with the state-of-the-art facilities for quality service delivery.
The Speaker of the House, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe- Abdullahi,revealed this during the House sitting in Lafia on Monday.
“I am pleased to inform you that His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Abdullahi Sule, has approved the contract for the upgrading of the Hallowed Chamber of this honorable House.
” The contractor handling the project will commence work tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov.2 by God’s grace.
” And it is on this note that I want to officially inform honorable members and staff to excuse the contractor to do the job diligently,” Abdullahi said.
“We sincerely appreciate and thank his Excellency for the gesture, the House will be resuming after the completion of work ” the Speaker said.
According to the speaker, the House therefore adjourned its sitting until further notice.
