APGA Tussle: Njoku hails Supreme Court, tasks party Stakeholders on unity
Chief Edozie Njoku, one of the contenders for National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has lauded the Supreme court decision on the party’s, leadership tussle.
Njoku therefore, urged APGA stakeholders to unite to ensure victory for the party at the Nov. 6, governorship poll in Anambra.
The APGA scribe gave the charge in an interview with Newsmen, on Saturday in Abuja
Njoku who insisted that he is the authentic National chairman of APGA following the Supreme Court pronouncememt, promised to unite all aggrieved members of the party.
He said the certification on which divide had taken the day, and who was the authentic Chairman following the Supreme court verdict, would manifest next week
According to him, those laying claim to the Chairmanship position in spite of Thursday’s Supreme court verdict, are only doing so out of ignorance
”This development unravels the magnitude of disrespect and desperation with which we have pursued our private and personal interest; with little or no regard for the party’s ideals, ideology and principles,” Njoku said.
He said the Supreme Court judgment was a victory for the Party; not for any group or individual.
”However, retaining Anambra Government House (Agu Awka) should be the primary concern of every APGA stakeholder now.
”The Supreme Court verdict is a landmark Judgment for the party as it has brought APGA leadership crisis to an end.
”Surely, this is not the best time for us as a party, but, I can assure you, this too shall come to pass,” Njoku said.
He urged members who recently left the party, to return, promising that
all misgivings shall be timely and promptly addressed.
”By the Powers conferred on us as Chairman with my fellow NWC members by the NEC, I hereby approve the activation of all APGA wining tactics to ensure our victory by Nov. 6, 2021.
”All APGA members and our esteemed supporters, within and outside Anambra State, should all move down to the grassroots to ensure that we win and defend our votes during the Anambra election.
Njoku congratulated members that had remained with the party in spite of the many challenges, occasioned by the leadership tussle.
