NYCN thanks President Buhari for appointing Keffi indigene as DG NAPTIP

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Keffi branch has thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing Keffi indigene, Mrs Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, as the Director-General, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

The Chairman of NYCN, Keffi branch, Alhaji Muhammad Idris, made the commendation in a statement on Thursday in Keffi, Nasarawa State.

He described the appointment of Sulaiman-Ibrahim as well deserving considering her wealth of experience on international issues.

Aluta News reports that President Buhari, in a statement on Tuesday by Malam Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media Publicity, approved the appointment of Sulaiman-Ibrahim as the new DG of NAPTIP.

Idris also described the appointment as putting of a square peg in a square hole, noting that Sulaiman-Ibrahim impressive track records in public service would help the Buhari government to curtail rates of human trafficking.

The youth leader said the people of Keffi, especially the youth expressed their deep gratitude to President Buhari for the appointment of their daughter.

ā€ The NYCN Keffi branch received the news of the appointment with great delight because Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim is an outstanding and committed daughter of Nasarawa State who discharge every assignment given to her diligently.

ā€ We are confident that Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim will discharge the duties of her new office with her characteristic diligence and a high sense of patriotism, bringing her long years of experience in public and private sector.

ā€ She is a strong advocate of anti human trafficking, drug and child abuse,ā€ he said.

A holder of BSc (Sociology), Masters of Arts (Management) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, Mrs Sulaiman-Ibrahim, hails from, Keffi Local Government, Nasarawa Nasarawa State.

Until her new appointment, she was a member of the Nasarawa State Economic Advisory Council as well as Special Adviser on Strategic Communication to the Minister of State for Education.
