Corporate organisations and emerging entrepreneurs have leveraged the 25th Ofala Festival of the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe, to promote their products, engage consumers and strengthen business relationships with the community.
The festival, which also marked Igwe Achebe’s 25th anniversary on the throne of his ancestors, attracted a large gathering of participants, creating opportunities for businesses to showcase their products while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Onitsha Kingdom.
The event featured interactive games, product giveaways, cooking competitions, dance performances and other promotional activities through which participating brands connected with consumers and rewarded loyal customers.
Indomie Instant Noodles attracted festivalgoers with interactive games and free product giveaways, providing an avenue for direct engagement with consumers and increased brand visibility.
Similarly, Knorr seasoning added excitement to the celebration through cooking and dancing competitions, rewarding participants with recharge cards, hand fans and other gift items.
Seaman Schnapps also contributed to the entertainment with lively dance performances that added colour and excitement to the cultural gathering.
Beyond the activities of established corporate brands, the festival provided emerging businesses with an opportunity to reach new customers and expand their market presence.
Mrs Onyeka Oramali, a dealer in Axcel Blender, expressed appreciation to the Obi of Onitsha for creating a platform for entrepreneurs to display their products, describing the opportunity as a boost to her business.
In their goodwill messages, the Area Marketing Manager of Indomie Instant Noodles, Mr Emmanuel Nwaobodo; Area Supervisor of Guinness Nigeria, Mrs Cynthia Joseph; and Knorr Brand Sales Manager, Mr Kingsley Osegbo, commended Igwe Achebe for sustaining the cultural traditions of the Onitsha Kingdom.
The corporate representatives described the Ofala Festival as an important platform for strengthening relationships between businesses and the communities they serve.
They also expressed gratitude to their customers for their continued patronage and reaffirmed their commitment to providing quality products while maintaining strong relationships with consumers.
The celebration demonstrated how traditional festivals can extend beyond cultural performances to create economic opportunities, support small businesses and promote interaction between corporate organisations and local communities.
With its blend of tradition, entertainment and commercial activities, the Ofala Festival continues to provide a platform for preserving cultural heritage while encouraging business visibility, entrepreneurship and community engagement.
