BREAKING: India gives CNN 7 days to explain stand and clarify report or face legal action & sanctions
Indian government has threatened to slam CNN with legal action and sanctions over what it described as CNN’s extremely biased and inaccurate reportage of ongoing farmers protests.
In a letter dated November 27, 2020 written to CNN, India accused CNN of pursuing a narrative. In the words of India’s lawyers; “This is not a broadcast – it is a conspiracy theory” referring to CNN’s insinuation that Indian govt may have lied to farmers about acceptance of a farmers bill accross board.
India accused CNN of breaching ethics of journalism by not balancing its report as it failed to contact the govt to hear its side of the story before making its report, stating further that the whole report was biased and manipulative.
