Queen of Nigeria Football: NGO, Nengi James Foundation receives newly crown queen urges State Government to promote traditional sports
Bayelsa State Government and Stakeholders in the sporting sector have been advised to encourage and promote local sports in the state.
The Chairman and founder of the Nengi James Foundation, Alabo Nengi James, gave the advice at his office on Tuesday when he paid host to the winner of the Nigerian Football Beauty Pageant 2020, Miss Comfort Afenfia who is the face of Nigerian Football.
Nengi James while speaking with journalists on the visit of the Bayelsa-born Nigerian Football Beauty Queen, called on Sports Stakeholders in the state to ensure the development and promotion of Local sports such as Traditional Wrestling and Swimming which the state has comparative advantage.
Commending the Football Beauty Queen for coming out top from the National Competition, Nengi James called on the state Government to encourage Miss Comfort Afenfia who doubles as the Face of Bayelsa Queens Football Club and other Bayelsans who have distinguished themselves in all spheres of life.
The Nigerian Football Beauty Queen and Face of Super Eagles, Miss Comfort Afenfia, a law diploma graduate, and student of Linguistics and Communication department from the University of Port-Harcourt, expressed appreciation to Nengi James Foundation and others for their supports, explaining that the essence of the crown is to promote and protect the growth of local sports in the country.
