Comrade Alawuje, who is speaking ahead of the planned national convention of the DOJ in Abuja, told journalists in Lagos Tuesday, that there is need for Nigerians to pray for for God to bring peace to the country, as well as more health to the Jagaban.

According to the DOJ national coordinator, Nigeria needs collective prayer also because ever in the country’s history, Buhari President Muhammadu Buhari has remain one president that has demonstrated good intentions to rescue the country and as such, there is need to pray for him for God to help him achieve his mission to change the country for the good.

“We call for national prayer for Tinubu because as at present, he is our only hope, a national leader who has sacrificed for the unity and harmonious coexistence of the country.

“He is the only leader that has proven to the whole world that he is truly a progressive political leader who readily sacrificed his personal ambition to forward the Nigerian struggle for a better society, as demonstrated by the role he played leading to the 2015 general election, which saw the All Progressives Congress (APC) wrestled power from the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” he stated.

Comrade Alawuje described Tinubu as the only political leader to have nurtured other less known politicians to national limelight, with God using him to change the lives of uncountable number of Nigerians.

He explained that the DOJ has been sending official messages to the Jagaban, calling on him to contest for the presidency come 2023.

“We will continue to prevail on him until he accepts to our request by agreeing to join in the presidential race under our great party, the APC,” he said.

Comrade Alawuje added that with the DOJ spread across the 36 states of the country, the FCT, as well as in Europe and the United States, the group is finalizing on arrangement to convene its first national convention in Abuja, as part of efforts to prevail on Jagaban to join the presidential race in 2023.

He therefore urged Nigerians of goodwill, to continue to pray for the success of the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as for their principal to succeed Buhari and to continue with the laudable initiative to bring genuine development to the country.
