Kebbi State Igbo Eze, Chief Emeka Okafor, says his palace has mobilised the Igbo community towards providing block votes for Present Tinubu and Governor Nasir come 2027 due the developmental services the duo offered the society.
The Monarch who doubles as the Chairman Other Tribes Council of Chiefs as well as Dan Jikan Gwandu, told newsman in Birnin Kebbi that the Igbo society and other non-indigene had pitched their loyalty to the APC led Administrations at the Federal and State levels.
He said Governor Idris had shown a lot of concern to his community, therefore the Igbo’s would never betray him, noting how they benefitted from Government palliatives, political appointments besides financial assistance to individuals and the community as a whole.
Exe Igbo said: “Igbos are very humle, industrious and promising set of people. One can see in the apprenticeship structure where business men develope the poor into business owners after short spell with their masters.
“This gesture demonstrates how we keep promises when we tie ourselves to them. We shall replicate this attitude for Governor Idris because we have no other leader to look up to except him. He would be proud of us during 2027 polls ”
Dan Jikan Gwandu said he had mobilised members of his community, friends and well wishers during the voter registration exercise, explaining that over twenty thousand eligible voters had collected there permanent voters cards and all would vote for Governor Idris.
Speaking on the challenges of insecurity, the monarch said as a business oriented community, there movement within and outside the state had been affected negatively but commended the efforts of the state government in its fight against the menace as their would be light at the end of the tunnel.
On a different note he thanked Governor Idris for addressing the concerns of the Christian Community by approving the creation of a Department of Christians Matters in the Ministry of Religious Affairs to give them more sense of belonging.
