Life as we know it is generally dicey. It’s like two-edged sword. Each side of the blade is sharp, and cuts clean. This description is attributable to Alhaji Muhammad Aminu Tukur who is a fighter for a just cause, an agitator for good cause and a man of exemplary character. A workaholic to the core who takes pride in putting finishing touches to any project he choses to accomplish. A moderate human being who mingles and justles with the rich and the poor not minding whose ox is gored. A renowned farmer and a down to earth Fulani man. My first encounter with him was at African Independent Television Bauchi centre in 2014. We invited him to feature on AIT’s Kaakaki, a live program that specializes in discussing trending socio-political and economic issues. He never fails as a great orator and social emancipier. When he speaks, people listen. A crowd puller and a Philanthropist.

What endeared me to him is his philanthropic nature. At his home, he eats and dines with the poor and vulnerable people. At least, over 15 or more come to eat daily and he never complains. Aminu Tukur is someone who is not shy to take Achaba even if he’s going to government house. Such simplicity is rare in our society today .
As a politician, he is a man known for outspokenness on issues bordering on development. Because of such character, some people see him as a fearless human being. He praises officials in his party and blames the party stakeholders when things go wrong.
He decamped to Peoples Redemption Party PRP in the current political dispensation to right a wrong. He’s standing for member House of Representatives representing Lere/ Bula constituency. He served as elected Executive Chairman of Tafawa-Balewa LGA.
As a public commentator, he usually feature on several programs on Albarka Radio 97.5 FM Bauchi and Globe FM 98.5. His contributions are robust, diligent, accurate and direct to the point. He started life as a teacher and he’s proud of it before venturing into politics.
