NNPC Ltd. advocates regional integration, technology-driven energy growth at Africa Technology Conference, Abidjan

The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, delivered a keynote address at the ongoing Africa Technology Conference (ATC 2026), taking place in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Represented by the Managing Director, NNPC Engineering & Technical Company Limited, Salahuddeen Tahir, the GCEO spoke on the theme, “Harnessing Innovation and Technology for a Resilient and Sustainable African Energy Sector.” In his address, Ojulari highlighted the critical role of regional integration in addressing Africa’s energy challenges and unlocking the continent’s vast energy potential, stressing that “Africa’s resilience depends on energy abundance. And energy abundance depends on integration and technology”.

Noting that the NNPC Ltd. has deployed advanced technologies across its operations, the GCEO called for deeper collaboration among African governments, national oil companies, investors, and technology partners to accelerate energy integration and support a just and pragmatic energy transition for Africa.

Organised by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the ATC is attended by policymakers, operators, investors, engineers, researchers, and technology providers from across Africa, who come together to deliver actionable insights, foster collaboration and explore the technologies that will shape the future of oil and gas in the continent.
